Alarming Recording Captures Instant Police Are Stabbed in Surprise Attack
A ranking policeman who rushed to the help of a partner that was assaulted by a knife attacker has been awarded the Monarch's Honor for Courage.
Sergeant Tim Ansell struggled against 27-yr-old Jacob Brown after he held a blade to the throat of his partner Sgt Marc Foster.
Brown initiated the assault as the policemen and their colleague, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were talking to a driver subsequent to a road collision in the area in mid-2023.
Brown attacked with blade the two Sgt Ansell and Sgt Foster prior to Police Constable Wolstencroft incapacitated him with a electric weapon.

Sergeant Ansell stated audibly: "Can I get assistance on my neck now, I've been stabbed in the throat."
Sgt Ansell suffered multiple lacerations to his neck and additional wounds to his arms and torso, while Sergeant Foster experienced slash wounds.
The department reported Sergeant Foster used his bare hands to stem his colleague's blood loss prior to emergency responders came.
The latest honor arrives subsequent to the law enforcement team won departmental Valor Recognitions in late 2023 and the John Egerton Bravery Award from the regional Police Federation in spring 2024.
They further earned a North West Courage Honor in summer 2024.
"The responses of all three officers in the end rescued one another and ensured no bystanders endured any injuries."
Brown received a sentence to an secure medical confinement in spring 2024, as stated by the department.
